DES adds new Tension / Compression Tester

DES recently added a new Mark-10 Motorized Tension / Compression Test Stand.  This will enhance our capabilities to perform:

  • Tensile and compressive strength testing
  • Fatigue testing
  • Life cycle testing
  • Pull testing on electrical connector leads
  • Wire crimp pull testing
  • Electrical connector mating/un-mating force determination
  • Contact retention, insertion/removal force measurements on electrical connectors
  • Label adhesive peel testing to ASTM D6862, D3330, D903
  • Puncture resistance of plastic materials or containers
