Chaos In Parliament Over Maha Kumbh Stampede, Sloganeering By Opposition
The Budget Session resumed this morning to sloganeering by the Opposition over the stampede that killed 30 people during the second 'Amrit Snan' at Maha Kumbh last week. "Kumbh pe jawab do", the slogans said, demanding that the authorities come out with a list of those who died on January 29. The opposition claims that the number of those who died is much higher than the figure issued by the government. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has appealed to the parliamentarians not to disrupt the proceedings.
